The story

The month in three moves.

We lead with the result, then show the campaigns, the creative and the audience that produced it.

01
$78

The newest ad is the cheapest

The video launched on July 21 brought responses at $78 each, roughly half the account average, on only 11 days of running.

02
70%

One message carries the month

“You Pay Nothing Upfront” produced 23 of the 33 responses. That is the line that is landing.

03
2.86%

More people act on what they see

Click-through rate rose 32% on June with the same budget. A smaller audience is responding harder.

Same budget, a third of the audience, and almost the same number of responses. That combination is a good sign: the people we are now reaching act on the ads far more often than they did in June. It also means we have worked through the pool that Meta can find with the current targeting, which is why the cost of a click went up. The opening for August is to widen that pool so this message reaches people who have not seen it yet.

Cost per response by ad

Shorter is better. Only ads with at least two responses are shown, so no single result decides a ranking.
The July 21 video is the cheapest ad in the account at $78, and it only ran for eleven days. Two of the three returning-visitor ads have now been seen more than three and a half times by the same people, so fresh versions are the next build.

Cost per response by age

Shorter is better. The 55-64 band is highlighted: it is both the cheapest and the largest.
55-64 delivered 13 of the 33 responses at $100 each, well under the $152 average. 25-34 looks cheap at $122 but sits on only four responses, so we will treat it as a test rather than a conclusion.

Responses by age and gender

Counts, not percentages. Men in blue, women in indigo.
MenWomen
Men produced 22 of the 33 responses on $2,429 of spend, about $110 each. Women produced 10 on $2,537, about $254 each. We currently spend slightly more reaching women than men, so shifting that balance is the single biggest lever available for August. The individual cells are small, so read this as where demand concentrates rather than as a targeting instruction.

Phone type

Spend share against response share.
Share of spendShare of responses
Android phones took 54% of the budget and produced 64% of the responses. Almost nothing runs on computers, which fits a client who is looking for a lawyer on their phone.

Where the ads appeared

Share of spend against share of responses.
Share of spendShare of responses
Facebook feed and Facebook Reels together take 59% of the budget and return 72% of the responses. Outside apps and games* takes 13% of the budget and returns 3%, so that is the first place we trim in August.
*Outside apps and games = third-party apps and websites that carry Meta ads, rather than Facebook, Instagram or Threads themselves.
Measurement

How we are counting.

One note on the numbers above, and the one thing we need from you.

Jul 20

The form tracking is back

In mid-July the website changed the way the consultation form loads, and for about a week our tracking stopped receiving it. The ads kept running the whole time. It has been reporting normally again since July 20, so the July total above is conservative.

Two

Form fills and calls, split apart

Meta currently reports form fills and call taps in one combined group, which is what the 33 counts. We are setting up a separate counter for each, so the August report will show how many people wrote in and how many picked up the phone.

Your inbox

What we need from you

The number of consultation requests that landed in your Zoho inbox in July. Matching your count to ours is the fastest way to confirm nothing is being missed, and it lets us optimise toward the enquiries you actually want.

What's next

Three moves for August.

Each one comes straight out of the numbers above.

More video, in the style that worked
The July 21 video brought responses at $78, the cheapest in the account, on eleven days of running. We are building three more in that format, keeping the “You Pay Nothing Upfront” message that produced 23 of the 33 responses, and refreshing the returning-visitor ads that people have now seen more than three times.
Put the budget where the responses are
Men aged 45 and over responded at roughly $110 each while the rest of the account averaged $152, and Facebook feed and Reels returned 72% of responses on 59% of spend. We are putting more of August into Facebook feed and Reels, and pulling back from outside apps and games, which took 13% of the budget for a single response.
Widen the pool
The same budget reached 16,098 people in July against 50,497 in June, and the average person has now seen an ad 4.3 times. The message is proven, so August adds new nearby areas and a fresh look-alike audience to put it in front of people who have not seen it yet.

July proved the message. August widens the room it plays in.

33 responses at $152, the highest click-through rate the account has recorded, and one video that came in at $78. Send us your July inbox count and we will match it against ours before the next report.
