Why this column adds up to less than the headline. The 55 appointments here are the ones we can tie back to a specific campaign by matching the lead. The headline counts every appointment your CRM attributes to Meta, including people who came in through a channel we cannot trace to one campaign. Read this column for which campaign books best, and the headline for the total.

Top-performing creative

Ranked by booked appointments, not by cost per lead.

Hook rate is the share of people shown the ad who stayed past 3 seconds. Hold rate is the share of those who kept watching to ThruPlay, 15 seconds or the end. 67 creatives carried spend this period and 20 of them went live inside it.

How to read this chart. The decline late in the window is deliberate. Performance Max was paused on August 3 and the Demand Gen test was pulled on August 17, so the last stretch of this window is Search only. That removed most of the click volume, and most of the low-intent form fills with it. The set-rate split further down shows what we bought with it: Search landing-page leads booked a sales appointment at 36 percent, Performance Max at 0 percent.

The campaigns at the bottom of this table are new tests, not underperformers. Window Types went live on August 13, and Competitors and Brand on August 17, so they carry days of data rather than a full window and none has had time to produce a conversion. Competitor bidding in particular is still the open question we raised together on the last call. It stays under review rather than being scaled.
Call tracking

What happened on the phone.

Every call these ads produced and what became of it, measured on the call itself rather than on the ad platform. Google can see that a call started; this is how it ended. These counts will not tie exactly to the conversion table above, and they are not meant to: Google dates a call to the day the ad was clicked and waits a day for the data, so the same calls land on slightly different days in the two views.

39 of the 44 callers had never called you before. That is what these campaigns are for: the phone ringing with someone new on the other end.
The pipeline

From leads to booked appointments.

Platform leads are only the start. This is what happened next in the CRM (MarketSharp) over the same window: how many became a booked sales appointment, and how many have sold. Meta forms land fully tracked; Google runs mostly on phone calls, which are still being connected to the campaigns.

Phone demand

Google Ads drove 26 tracked phone calls this window, 18 of them 60 seconds or longer. Calls are matched to Google by click ID, so this includes calls placed from the landing pages, not just the ad call button. Answered calls only. These already feed Google Ads bidding.

† How Google's appointments and sales are counted. 5 came through the landing-page form, which is tagged automatically. The other 1 were found by matching the phone number of every caller who arrived on a Google ad click against the CRM, because those bookings get filed by hand at intake under Referral, Google or Call In, never under the Google tag. No sale from that group has closed inside this window yet. Treat these as a floor, not a total: a caller who leaves no matching record in the CRM cannot be counted at all.
i
The scorecard is appointments, not cost per lead. Meta turned 342 CRM leads into 72 booked appointments (21% set) and 15 sales. Cost per Meta appointment ran about $397. Counts are activity inside the window; a lead, its appointment and its sale can fall in different months, so appointments are the cleanest read on this window. Source: MarketSharp, sales-presentation appointments only.
What's next

Where we take it from here.

Each move ties back to what this window proved.

Operating plan

The next window.

  • Blocked the junk at the source Games, Kids and Kids and Family app categories are excluded account wide, plus Roblox, Minecraft, and installer and job-seeker terms.
  • Feeding appointments back to Google so bidding optimizes toward booked sales presentations rather than form submissions.
  • Watching Search delivery Search has less available inventory than PMax in these markets, so we are tracking whether the new split fills.
  • Reporting on appointments cost per appointment and set rate are the scorecard, not cost per lead.
